Wind lull lifts southern prices
Low wind output across DK and SE4 widened the north–south spread; northern hydro zones stayed below 30 EUR/MWh.

Summary
A high-pressure system over the southern Baltic cut wind generation in DK1, DK2 and SE4 to roughly half of the seasonal norm. Thermal units set the marginal price through the evening peak, and the SE3→SE4 corridor ran close to its limit for most of the day.
Northern zones were largely unaffected. SE1, SE2 and NO4 cleared well below the system price as hydro reservoirs remain above the ten-year median.
Key numbers
| Zone | Daily avg (EUR/MWh) | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| SE4 | ~80 | Evening peak above 100 |
| DK1 | ~90 | Thermal on the margin |
| SE1 | ~22 | Flat hydro profile |
What to watch
- Wind forecasts recover from Tuesday, which should compress the spread.
- Planned maintenance on one Finnish nuclear unit begins next week.
